Samson-based taekwondo club takes Malaysian competition by storm

THEY might be young, but that did not stop members of a local taekwondo school taking Malaysia by storm at a recent international competition.

Six children from the Samson-based French’s Martial Arts represented Australia at the CK International Open Clubs Classic Taekwondo Tournament in Kuala Lumpur, sparring against competitors from 14 countries.

Proving their mettle against some of the best in their age group, Diaz Gizzarone, Bradley Reeby and Matthew Summerfield (all 11) fought their way to gold medals.

It was the second medal for Diaz and Matthew in as many months, both also taking home gold in a national competition.
