On Friday, the Cougars fell to Stirling Senators at Wally Hagan Stadium 102-100.

The Senators stormed home in the fourth quarter with 37 points to 19 to claim the win; Cody Ellis scored 34 points for the winners, while Najee Lane scored 29 for the Cougars.

The Cougars backed up on Saturday and recorded a 98-84 win over Rockingham Flames at Mike Barnett Sports Complex.

Sharp-shooter Gavin Field led his side with 28 points and eight rebounds, with Cooper Land scoring 21 points for Rockingham.

The Cougars women rest in the bottom half of the table after two losses on the weekend.

Twenty points from Cherridy Thornton was not enough to get the Cougars over the line against Stirling Senators on Friday night, the hosts suffering a 70-52 defeat.

It did not get much better on Saturday, with Rockingham Flames running riot.

Samantha Whitcomb drained 34 points and Darcee Garbin 24, as the Flames routed Cockburn by 54 points.

The Cougars next take on the top-of-the-table Willetton Tigers at Willetton Basketball Stadium on Friday.
