Hockey (Round 3)

The Fremantle Hockey Club’s top ranked men will be looking to make it two from two when they take on UWA away this Sunday.

With their round two match against Westside Wolves postponed, the team will finally get the chance to back up a big 4-3 win against cross-town rivals Melville in the first round with another big win.

Fremantle’s Promotional 1 women also got onto the winners list in round one with a 3-2 win against the Strikers.

They will be looking to keep the wins coming in against the Old Guildfordians Mundaring on Sunday.

Both teams play at the Perth Hockey Centre on April 10, the women from 2pm and the men from 3.30pm.

Basketball (SBL)

Sitting pretty on top of the ladder, the Cockburn Cougars men will be looking to stay there after a massive double header this weekend.

They kick off round four with a huge away game against the Willetton Tigers tonight, before hosting the second-placed Geraldton Buccaneers tomorrow night.

The Cockburn women will be looking to break their two game losing streak in their game against the ladder-leading Willetton Tigers tonight.

Across Cockburn, both Lakeside Lightning men and women will be looking to overcome shaky starts to the season when they take on Rockingham Flames on Saturday night.

With both teams sitting middle of the pack, notching up wins against the Flames will see them soar up the ladder.

The Cougar women and men both play the Tigers in Willetton tonight, with the games tipping off at 6.30pm and 8.30pm respectively.

The Cougar men will play against Geraldton tomorrow from 7.30pm

The Lightning women and men play the Flames in Rockingham tomorrow with tip off at 6.30pm and 8.30pm respectively.

Football (WAFL-Round 4)

While the undefeated ladder-leaders South Fremantle enjoy a bye this week, East Fremantle are back in the action with a must-win home game against West Perth tomorrow.

The Sharks will be hoping Brett Peake, currently third in the WAFL’s goals-scored tally after kicking five in round two against Peel Thunder, continues his accurate kicking to get them over the line.

East Fremantle plays West Perth at East Fremantle Oval tomorrow from 1.45pm.

Soccer (NPL WA-Round 4)

After going down to 2015 champions Bayswater City 3-1 last week, sixth-placed Cockburn will be looking to notch their second win of the season against eighth-placed Stirling Lions this weekend.

With their run sheet currently sitting at one win, one draw and one loss, Cockburn will be looking to nab the three points and a chance to climb as high as fourth.

Cockburn host Stirling at Dalmatinac Park on Sunday from 5pm.
