A LOCAL soccer player has helped deliver silver for Australia at the Special Olympic World Games is Los Angeles.

Cockburn City Soccer Club player Chris Minutillo was on fire netting seven of Australia’s eight goals during the competition.

He said walking on to an arena usually reserved for the professionals was an unbelievable experience.

“It was good and I was really happy,” he said.

The City of Cockburn provided Chris with a $1500 sponsorship to help him join Australian teammates at the competition.
