Jessica NicoFremantle Gazette

The 13-year-old Munster resident and Seton Catholic College student, who is a member of the Football West National Training Centre program, has taken the next step in her burgeoning sporting career with selection to the WA U15s team to play in the National Youth Championships in July.

With match experience behind her, having already competed in the U13s state team last year, Isabella said she was excited to be a part of a travelling team again.

“The experience is very professional and we are treated like elite athletes,” she said.

“The competition last year was tough in the U13s competition but this year will be a lot tougher because I’m in the 15s, the girls are physically stronger and very technically skilled.

“I take soccer seriously and I am grateful to have this opportunity.”

Under the watchful eye of officials as part of the Football West NTC program, Isabella is eager to join the Perth Glory women and represent Australia.

“I will play soccer as long as I can and go as far as I can with it,” she said.

“I think I will always have some input in women’s soccer, whether it be coaching or teaching young girls.”
