Jessica NicoFremantle Gazette

LOCAL footballers played a starring role in the WA State Amateur team’s unbeaten tour through Malaysia.

North Lake’s Aaron Bahadori scored the sole goal in WA’s 1-0 win over PKNS, while Southern Spirit’s Felim Rugel found the back of the net once in the team’s 1-0 win against NPNG and twice in their 4-2 win over Kelab Suka Glenmarie United.

Bahadori, Rugel, Southern Spirit’s Matthew Bennion and Brad North, North Lake’s Kudzaishe Chigwanda and Fremantle Croatia’s Juan Cabrera were chosen to participate in the tour after being named among the best players from this year’s Amateur Premier League.
