South Fremantle Bulldogs teach new tricks to Auskickers

SOUTH Fremantle Football Club players took time out from their busy training schedule to run skills and drills with more than 1000 district Auskickers recently.

All junior clubs within the South Fremantle Football District, including Fremantle City, Cockburn, Hammond Park and South Coogee, joined in the annual Bulldogs of the Future Gala Day at Fremantle Oval.

WA Football Commission district development officer Regan Atkinson said it was a fantastic event for everyone involved.

“It gives our Auskickers the opportunity to play on a WAFL ground and it also gives them an opportunity to participate in grid games against other teams from around the South Fremantle District,” he said.

Kelmscott JFC Auskick co-ordinator James Linton said their players had a lot of fun.

“It was a fantastic day for the kids and it was awesome to see the Bulldogs football community come together on the one ground,” he said.
