WEST Coasts Nic Naitanui and Jeremy McGovern will miss this weeks Western Derby while uncertainty hovers over Fremantle pair David Mundy and Matthew Pavlich as they wait on scan results.
However Nat Fyfe should return after two weeks out with a groin injury.
Mundy and Pavlich went for scans yesterday, and Lyon admitted there was some doubt about their availability.
He said he didnt know the nature of their injuries, but hoped they would train later in the week.
Things look good for midfielder Fyfe with Lyon saying the Dockers were planning for him to play.
Hell come back fresh, he plays a really physical game, hes a competitive beast and hes really excited, Lyon said.
Lyon was also optimistic star defender Luke McPharlin would be available, despite being subbed out during the win over St Kilda on Sunday with a cork.
If hes right to play well take the opportunity to put him in, he said.
Rebounding defender Michael Johnson has been cleared to play, but wont automatically slot straight back in.
Were in a position to make a really considered decision, he said.
Were probably leaning towards playing him in the AFL but weve got to work our way through the week.
Eagles coach Adam Simpson ruled a line through Naitanui, who missed Saturdays loss to Hawthorn following the death of his mother, saying he was unsure when he would return.
Defender Jeremy McGovern is likely to miss two weeks with a hamstring injury.
The Eagles will wait until later in the week to assess Callum Sinclairs availability and Mark LeCras will miss one week through suspension.
Defender Xavier Ellis should play despite a knock to the foot against Hawthorn.
