REPRESENTATIVES from the Hammond Park Junior Football Club have toured an AFL club’s training base.
The trip to Adelaide was part of an exclusive coaching experience run through Fox Footy.
Kara Craig and Tom Shaw were there on behalf of the Hammond Park JFC, which competes in the South Fremantle District’s junior competition.
They were treated to a coaching seminar and tour hosted by Port Adelaide’s head coach Ken Hinkley and his assistants at the club’s Alberton Oval base.
Ms Craig said it was a great experience. “It was a great opportunity to meet others from other clubs and discuss how they do certain things,” she said.
“I was the only female in the group so it would be nice to see more girls involved in the future, especially now the women’s AFL league is taking off.”
The Fox Footy Club Rewards program is an initiative by Foxtel to support grassroots sport.
