WEST Hull’s best will take on the best of the West when the UK junior rugby league club visits Perth for a special promotional tour.

The tour, which is slated for early 2019, will see the visiting West Hull under 12s team promote and play rugby league at local schools, as well as taking on state teams from the Northern Fusion and Southern Pride.

NRL WA operations manager Tony Crowe said the visit aimed not only to promote the sport in Perth but to foster and encourage relationships between communities using rugby league.

“We are looking at getting the team into some local high schools for a day to experience a day in the life of a typical Australian pupil,” he said.

“I am also in the process of contacting the local AFL sides to show the boys a sport they have no knowledge of.

“The touring group will have unrivalled opportunities to expand their personal development, discipline and leadership skills and become role models and ambassadors.

“It is a trip they will never forget which will provide inspiration for years to come.”

Crowe said they were looking for some families in the area willing to house a player and parent during the visit.
