SOUTH Fremantle will need to improve on last week’s performance when they come up against Swan Districts on Sunday.
The Bulldogs played poorly in the first three quarters of last week’s qualifying final against Peel Thunder, eventually kicking into gear in the fourth quarter but losing the game 80-62.
Their second place finish on the WAFL ladder afforded the Bulldogs a second chance, one they will have to take against a Swan Districts team on a high after a 15-point win over West Perth.
The teams have played each other twice this season and split the difference, Swan Districts taking out the first game 85-64 in round 2 while South Fremantle got the next one 103-63 in round 17.
The Bulldogs will have the home crowd cheering them on in what should be a tight, hard fought contest.
The winner will take on the loser of the Subiaco vs Peel Thunder game in the preliminary final next week.
South Fremantle takes on Swan Districts at Fremantle Oval from 2.15pm September 10.
