"The selection of Matt and Declan in the WA U21 squad is testament both to that and the dedication and talent displayed by both.

"The squad looks the strongest it has done for many years and to be included is a huge recognition."

The men's U21 national championships will be played in Canberra from July 12 to 19.

The selection news capped off a big week for the club, after it received a Good Sports program Level 1 accreditation.

The program is run through the Australian Drug Foundation and aims to make community sport clubs safer and healthier by weakening the link between alcohol and sport.

Other local Good Sport clubs include the Fremantle Districts Cricket Club, Breakers Netball Club, East Fremantle Lacrosse Club and the Fremantle Rowing Club.
