A DOCTOR is accused of sexually assaulting a patient in a hospital south west of Perth at the end of last year.

Bunbury detectives allege the 48-year-old man sexually penetrated a woman without her consent in December last year.

He is due to appear in Bunbury Magistrates Court today.
