Federal Election 2019: Thousands attend Stirling pre-polling centres

More than 8000 Stirling residents have already cast their vote in this year’s Federal Election.

Australian Electoral Commission figures showed about 8200 voters in the seat of Stirling had visited pre-polling voting centres ahead of Election Day on Saturday.

The majority of ballots, nearly 6000, have been cast at the Balcatta pre-polling voting centre on Erindale Road.

Pre-polling starts for 2019 election

Electors have also filled out their ballot paper at centres in Morley and Perth.

Pre-polling is open to people who are unable to vote on Saturday for reasons including they will be overseas, travelling or working.

Where to vote

More than 98,000 people were enrolled to vote in Stirling at the 2016 Federal Election, where retiring Liberal MHR Michael Keenan was elected.
