Shoppers explored food and retailer stalls, taking it all in as they relaxed in a mobile library among eclectic furniture, vintage posters and displays, as music was played by the WA Symphony Orchestra.

Hawaiian chief executive Russell Gibbs said the property group wanted to establish its shopping centres as places for the community to connect with.

"We know the world of retail is changing, therefore we are keen to explore this," he said.

Woodlupine Primary School students and Kalamunda T-Ball Club and Kalamunda Bulldogs Club members attended and enjoyed the sideshow alley experience on the day.
