THE Guildford Association is gearing up for its annual Gunners’ Day parade in Stirling Square on November 6 from 11am.
The regimental march, unique to Guildford, developed after World War I, with the first day held in 1928.
On Remembrance Day, November 11, the association will commemorate Australians who died as a result of war by following the Guildford Anzacs Walk Trail. The trail is a self-guided walk highlighting homes where Anzacs lived.
People can start at any point and follow the poppy plaque trail, learning the soldiers’ military history as they go, using a smartphone.
