The revival of Midland Gate is complete with the arrival of Rebel Sport and Harris Scarfe at the expanded centre this month.
As part of Midland Gate’s $100 million redevelopment, Rebel Sport welcomed its first customers today while Harris Scarfe will cut the ribbon on their new store on Thursday, March 28.
Centre manager Alison Broadbent said: “This is the final milestone in our transformation with Midland Gate now home to more than 200 retailers including a brand new Aldi, an expanded and relocated Coles, Woolworths, Harris Scarfe, a refurbished Kmart, a new JB Hi-Fi, Big W and Target all under one roof.
“As the largest regional shopping centre in Perth’s east, it’s exciting to now offer new and loyal customers even greater convenience, variety and choice in fresh food, fashion and lifestyle and in dining and entertainment.”
As part of Rebel’s opening festivities on Thursday, March 14, at 6pm customers have a chance to meet West Coast premiership player Mark Hutchings and Fremantle Dockers forward Matt Taberner.
Rebel, which specializes in sporting apparel, footwear and equipment, will also offer special discounts and giveaways on their opening day.
Harris Scarfe will host a VIP event on March 27, giving winners a sneak peek of the store the night before opening.
A contemporary food court will also be unveiled this month with a new children’s play area, sprawling indoor gardens with lush plantings and spacious seating areas including a lounge area to enjoy a cup of coffee and banquet seating for larger groups of friends and family.
