IT’S been the wettest winter in 15 years and one of the wettest Augusts in recorded history, but it looks like there’ll be some relief from the rain as we hit spring this weekend.
We’re headed for 17C today and tomorrow with a slight chance of a shower on both days.
The first day of weekend of spring is expected to be sunny and dry with 19C predicted for Saturday and 21C on Sunday.
Perth had 10.8mm of rain yesterday with some heavy downpours.
It was wetter in the south with 13.2mm recorded at Jandakot and 12.6mm in Mandurah.
The wettest area was Pearce, which recorded 19.2mm.
Strong winds hit in the afternoon with gusts reaching more than 90km/h in Ocean Reef about 3pm.
On Rottnest Island, wind gusts topped 100km/h.
