Residents in the Shire of Murray on the alert due to deliberately lit fire

A deliberately lit bushfire is out of control in the Shire of Murray and heading in a westerly direction.

An advice has been issued for people south of Pinjarra-Williams Road in Inglehope.

Aerial support has been sent in to assist the 15 firefighters on the ground.

There is no threat to lives or homes, or immediate danger, but residents are asked to monitor the situation in case it changes.

The fire started near the intersection of Pinjarra-Williams Road and Murray Road in Inglehope.

People are asked to report any suspicious behaviour to Police Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
