South West WA: young driver killed in crash

A YOUNG man was killed in a crash after the vehicle he was driving struck a tree yesterday afternoon about 170km south of Perth.

Police said the 26-year-old driver was the only occupant in a Ford Falcon sedan that lost control about 4.30pm while travelling west on Clifton Road in Brunswick, near Australind.

He died at the scene.
