MORE than 1000 people celebrated the grand launch of Alkimos Beach residential estate’s new display village last weekend.

There were tram tours, workshops, kids’ activities and wildlife displays on the day, which also marked the official opening of the community’s new sales and information centre featuring a rooftop viewing deck overlooking the ocean.

Visitors could inspect the seven new displays in the estate, the first in the country to achieve a six-star Green Star rating from the Green Building Council of Australia for its ongoing commitment to sustainability.

“This in turn strengthens the community’s resilience into the future.”

Residents have easy access to a range of amenities and services, including two schools, The Sprout community hub for business meetings, launch events and training sessions and Gateway shopping precinct with an IGA supermarket.
