Baseballers need help

THE Kalamunda Rangers baseball club have been part of the Kalamunda community for the past 38 years and are seeking sponsorship and donations for three players who have been chosen to represent the State.

The three selected to compete in the State Women’s Baseball team to travel to Canberra for the competition from January 10-18, are Sheena Trigg from Swan View, Taylah Carter from Kalamunda and Tegan Rowe from Northam.

Rangers vice-president Travis Wright said each player needed to raise $2000 for flights, accommodation and food for the week.

“So far the club has raised $1000 for the competition, with raffles, barbecues, donations and events,” he said. “But we would like to raise another $5000.”

They now seek sponsorship from the community to attend the event and be part of the state team.

Small cash donations, or donated raffle prizes would be greatly appreciated.

The team train three days per week among their regular training and games.

They hope to replicate the success of the Perth Heat who have won four of their five national championships since 2010.

Anyone interested in assisting the team and donating to their trip can contact Sheena Trigg on 0430 667 370 or kalamunda.rangers@gmail.com
