INDIAN ride-sharing giant Ola has launched in Australia, with a limited roll-out for Perth customers.

The soft launch is part of the company testing its services in Australia, and means Perth-based customers will be given their first two rides free, up to the value of $10 each.

Ola is keen to hear directly from customers and drivers during the start-up phase, and will invite feedback by asking them to leave a comment in the app after each ride.

A statement from the organisation said it was offering “affordable fares for customers and higher commissions for driver-partners to create a high-quality travel experience for Australia, and is excited to start with the Perth community”.

Anyone interested in driving for Ola can do so via its website.

The Ola mobile app is registered in more than 110 cities with more than one million drivers around the world.
