Jamie Oliver to open restaurant doors for free meals this Christmas Day

ENGLISH celebrity chef Jamie Oliver has announced he will open the doors of his four Australian restaurants this Christmas Day to offer free meals for those doing it tough.

Mr Oliver has restaurants in Perth, Brisbane, Adelaide and Sydney.

He issued a call for volunteers via his Instagram account on Wednesday.

“We want to fill (the restaurants) with people that can come in for free – people that would be lonely, people that might be homeless and people in need,” Mr Oliver said.
