Each artist has been part of the Perth Institute of Contemporary Art’s (PICA) program at some point over the past 24 years.

PICA director Amy Barrett-Lennard said much like a mini art fair, the exhibition had a range of works, many made especially for the Salon, and included sculpture, assemblage, prints, collage, painting, photography and video.

‘Each year we select a different group of artists, identifying those that are currently making some really interesting work and whose careers are taking a distinctly upward turn,’ Barrett-Lennard said.

‘With 31 artworks for sale and all proceeds returning to the artists, the Salon is also a celebration of PICA’s commitment to supporting the artists it works with. And it is a great way to see a snapshot of what is happening in contemporary art around Australia and the world.’

PICA Salon runs until August 18.
