PERTH’S The Bachelorette contestant Blake Colman was sent home tonight after failing to leave a lasting impression on the hometown episode of the reality TV show – but not before making his true feelings known.
Blake pulled out all the stops to impress Sophie Monk on his date – taking the star to Cockburn Ice Arena and having hot chocolate with her on the rink while ‘snow’ fell around them.
When it came time to meet his family, Sophie copped a grilling from his mother and sister.
But instead of defending her, he stayed silent while Sophie defended herself against accusations she was just doing the show for her career.
When it came to the rose ceremony, things didn’t look good from the start for Blake.
“It would kill me if I didn’t get a rose,” he said.
A short time later, Blake missed out on the third and final rose when it went to Stu instead.
“I’m just speechless, I don’t really know what to say at all,” he said.
“I don’t really have anything else to say hey.
“Have fun with the other boys. Ciao”
As he drove away in the car, he quipped that Sophie was just left “with the second best boys in the house now.”
