WE don’t mean to alarm you, but Chuck Norris is coming to Perth.
The martial arts star who wasted eight years of his life playing Walker, Texas Ranger, and whose blood type is officially ‘AK-47’, is coming to town as part of Supanova Comic Con and Gaming next month.
The event takes place at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre from Friday June 22 to Sunday June 24.
A police source told Community News the city’s bikie gangs were already scrambling to organise weekends away down south, while a spokesperson for Commissioner Chris Dawson said he was weighing up giving every officer that weekend off.
“No one would dare start any trouble while Chuck was in town,” the spokesperson said.
“We heard he’s booked a side trip to the Northern Territory and I’ve heard, on good authority, the crocs are absolutely sh*tting themselves.”
It’s also being reported that Premier Mark McGowan’s office is considering flying in Mr Norris at the start of every summer to scare away the sharks.
Supanova attendees can also catch Brandon Routh.
(Hint: he played Superman in the 2006 reboot Superman Returns.)
Former siren Kathleen Turner will also be in attendance, along with Jaws star Richard Dreyfuss.
