Perth get ready: Brickman Awesome Lego show is coming to town

Staff WriterEastern Reporter

PERTH, get excited – Australia’s very own Lego master Ryan ‘The Brickman’ McNaught is coming back to town.

Brickman Awesome will be at the Perth Convention and Exhibition Centre from Saturday June 23, just in time for the winter school holidays, until July 23.

The exhibition features 39 models – none of which have ever been seen in Perth before – and is made up of more than two million Lego bricks.

One of the most jaw-dropping models in the exhibition is a full-scale replica of the new, eighth generation Toyota Camry.

This will be showcased alongside a number of record-breaking models, including the only life-sized Lego Harley Davidson ever made, and the largest ever Lego Caterpillar 797 dump truck.

Adding to the awesomeness is the tallest Lego model in the Southern Hemisphere – a NASA SLS rocket, standing at a whopping 7.5m tall and built from more than 450,000 bricks.

“I’m really excited to be bringing Brickman Awesome to Perth,” Mr McNaught said.

“It’s such a great city and when we brought our previous two exhibitions here we got the best reception – West Australians have such huge enthusiasm for Lego.

“My team and I have had a great time building all these record-breaking models so I can’t wait to share them with the people of Perth.”

Tickets will go on sale to the general public at 10am on Friday 1st June at www.ticketek.com.au
