THE Swan Festival of Lights is set to sparkle at Elizabeth Quay next weekend, with an outdoor cinema set up for the Indian celebration Deepavali.
Deepavali honours good triumphing over evil, light over darkness and knowledge over ignorance.
That’s why it is celebrated with the Swan Festival of Lights, now in its ninth year, from October 28-30.
The Festival will feature food stalls, arts and crafts, water activations, light installations, fireworks, camel rides and stage performances featuring traditional dancing and music.
Synergy will power the outdoor cinema with 10 bikes, and members of the public will be given the chance to pedal.
The cinema will screen the film ‘Mystic India’ on each night of the festival at 9pm.
The Festival is free to enter and is open from 4.30pm on Friday October 28.
