WA Ballet presents Romeo and Juliet in wildly contrasting ways

This September, the West Australian Ballet (WAB) transform His Majesty’s Theatre into fair Verona for two dramatically contrasting versions of Romeo and Juliet.

The venue is hosting a joint season of two productions, with Youri Vámos’ Romeo and Juliet alongside rock giants Radiohead for Edward Clug’s Radio & Juliet

Vamos’ production of Romeo and Juliet is set during 1930s Italian mafia warfare and was last performed by WAB in 2009 to sell out audiences.

Radio & Juliet is back after a critically acclaimed season in 2013.

A fast-paced and hard-hitting contemporary take on Shakespeare’s classic, Radio & Juliet is set entirely to the music of Radiohead.
