MORE than 100 people tuned in for the City of Vincent’s first live streamed council meeting.
In March , council approved funding of more than $16,000 to install four webcams in chambers and streaming services for two years.
Tuesday’s council meeting was the first to be live streamed via the City’s website, with 118 people tuning in from their home computers or devices.
The City will continue to live stream every briefing session and council meeting in a move towards greater transparency and accountability.
For privacy reasons, public question time will not be streamed and no cameras are positioned to capture the public gallery.
Audio recordings of council meetings are available to the public for $31 each.
