FROM today, Perth’s 140 will be transformed into a display of humour and showmanship.

#140Laugh will see Railway Lane and Postal Place transformed into an entertainment destination until February 24.

The Globe Lane entrance will feature a photo booth to grab an amusing snap, and the Murray Street entrance will be lined with vintage letters inviting passersby into the cabaret-style hub Postal Place, which will feature a red curtain-lined stage, neon signs and seating.

Brotzeit will extend its services across into Postal Place throughout the next two weeks.

Those seeking a Valentine’s Day date with a twist can check out #140LaughLounge on Wednesday, February 14 from 7pm to 9pm with the The Big Hoo Haa presenting ‘A Very Hoo Haa UN-Valentine’s Day’.

Four improvisers will be on stage with each team playing out several scenes based on “romantic” suggestions from the audience.

The audience will help find the perfect blind dates, serenade and share a laugh with fellow attendees, dates and city passersby.

February 22 will be another significant day with the markets returning from 11.30am-2.30pm with pop-ups from restaurants in the precinct and open mic from 12.30pm to 1.30pm, featuring performers from social media entries performing on stage.
