“I was kind of nostalgic about coming back (to Perth College),” she said.

“I’m going to Melbourne all by myself, a fresh start, but I’m not nervous because I was boarding at Perth College since Year 7 and I moved from Malaysia, so moving is not a big deal anymore.”

She said she would come back to visit family on holidays.

Gianina and Clarissa Luk received the General Exhibition award while Kiera Ellis received the Subject Exhibition for Literature.

Principal Jenny Ethell said she was delighted to see the girls rewarded for their strong work ethic and determination.

She said the school was one of 14 high schools that had a 100 per cent graduation rate in 2017.

Ms Ethell said the school’s median ATAR score was 89.45.
