2018 Hyde Park Community Fair marks 31 years involvement for Rotoray Club of North Perth

THIS year marks 31 years the Rotary Club of North Perth has been co-ordinating the Hyde Park Community Fair, which is on March 3-5.

Now running for more than 50 years, the fair is believed to be the longest running free community fair in Perth and still attracts more than 50,000 people.

Falling on Labour Day long weekend, this year’s event will feature for the first time a Barrels & Brews pop up bar in a licensed area.

It will also feature live entertainment, arts and crafts, demonstrations, markets, sideshow rides, food, workshops, multicultural displays, educational information and business connections.

City of Vincent Mayor Emma Cole said the event was a summer highlight.

“We love the vibrancy that this free community event brings to Vincent,” she said.

“It’s carnival atmosphere brings people together from the neighbourhood and across the metro area.”
