MORE than 3000 homes and businesses are without power in suburbs just north of the city.

The power outage is affecting properties in Leederville, North Perth, Northbridge, Highgate, Mt Lawley, Inglewood and Menora.

Western Power’s outages map says the expected restoration time is 9pm.

Busineses along Beaufort Street, including Vintage Cellars at the corner of Second Avenue, have closed for the night as a result of the outages.
