6006 in the Park: Alex Lloyd to headline amazing event

NORTH Perth’s Men Shed, Community Garden and Tennis Club are just a few community groups that have combined with North Perth Local to host 6006 in the Park in November.

The free concert featuring headliner Alex Lloyd as well as local musicians Kylie Auldist, Aaradhna and Figurehead is about bringing the community together, according to North Perth Local chairwoman Ida Smithwick.

Mrs Smithwick said there were many families in the area and volunteers who were keen to join North Perth Local in hosting the concert at Woodville Reserve.

“We wanted to do something different and this concert is the right thing for the area,” the chairwoman of three years said.

“We’ve done two festivals (Angove Street Festival) and now this concert.

“We want to bring it back to the community.”

6006 in the Park, funded by the community, City of Vincent, Bendigo Bank and Lotterywest, will include oversized board games such as Snakes and Ladders, baby animals, face painting and dancing.

There will be food trucks and the Rosemount Hotel will have a pop up bar.
