Armadale Woman in Court for Alleged Syringe Attack

AN Armadale woman (30) will face court today after she allegedly threatened a man in Highgate with what was believed to be a blood-filled syringe.

A WA Police spokeswoman said the woman allegedly approached a green Toyota Camry on Bulwer Street at 1.30pm yesterday and threatened the driver, a 20-year-old Kelmscott man, with a pen and a syringe.

“Fearing for his safety, the driver got out of the vehicle and the woman punched him to the face before getting in the vehicle,” the spokeswoman said.

“The woman attempted to drive the vehicle away, however, police arrived and she was arrested without incident.”

The woman was charged with armed robbery and is due to appear in Perth Magistrates Court today.
