Artwork transforms garage and wall

Earlier this year, the Guardian Express photographed Mr Clark’s back wall, which was then covered in graffiti tags.

He said that it had become an eyesore, so he asked artist Martin Wills to cover the entire wall and garage door with a mural.

Mr Clark said the result was better than he could have imagined.

‘The neighbours have commented as well, saying it looks nice,’ he said.

‘It also provides a double benefit: for me it stops graffiti and for Martin it provides a space for him to present his work.’

The mural cost $250 to create, with Mr Wills donating his time.
