Bedford man (37) faces charges for up to 30 alleged cafe thefts

A BEDFORD man (37) faces 18 additional charges, including multiple counts of burglary and stealing for up to 30 alleged thefts from cafes.

Senior Sergeant Craig Davis said it would be alleged burglaries were conducted in East Perth, West Perth and Mount Lawley between May 26 and June 9.

The additional charges include being armed with intent because the man was found by police allegedly with a screwdriver, hammer and crowbar.

He has been remanded in custody to reappear at Perth Magistrates Court on July 14.
