Currently located on Wellington Street, the centre is moving to Murray Street Mall in the 140 William Street building, with doors set to open in early 2015.
WA Australian Red Cross Blood Service manager Craig Rutherford said the $4 million centre would be the biggest in Australia.
‘Located in the heart of the Perth CBD in the Murray Street Mall, donors will be able to walk off the train and into our donor centre, and then enjoy a bit of shopping or a bite to eat straight after their donation,’ he said.
‘We are hoping our new, highly visible location will increase blood donation awareness and lead to an increase in the number of Perth blood donors.
