Boost for Netball WA as No Limits program for inclusion of disabled gets $50,000 State Government grant

NETBALL WA’s No Limits program has received a huge boost with a funding injection from the State Government’s Community Inclusion and Participation Grants scheme.

Established in 2014, No Limits Netball is a specialised program designed specifically for participants with an intellectual disability.

This summer Disability Services Minister Donna Faragher awarded Netball WA $50,000 for the creation, support and sustainability of further individual programs at club level.

Netball WA general manager of community netball Liz Booth said the funding was “a wonderful outcome” for one of its fastest growing programs.

“We have been overwhelmed by the popularity of No Limits Netball in the past 12 months and certainly appreciate the opportunity to continue to expand its reach in order to ensure anybody who would like to play our great game has an avenue through which to do so,” she said.

“As a governing body, Netball WA is committed to removing all limitations on participation and we thank the State Government for its assistance in our ongoing commitment to building a truly inclusive netball community.”
