A 14-year-old boy was knocked unconscious when hit by a motorcycle in a hit-and-run in Mount Lawley on Friday afternoon.
Police are investigating the incident, which happened around 3pm.
Two students were walking through Hamer Park when one of them was struck by someone riding a motorcycle.
The rider fell from the bike but despite the attempt of a witness to stop him was able to get back on the motorcycle and flee the scene.
The boy was taken to Princess Margaret Hospital by St John Ambulance and stayed in hospital overnight.
Police seized a motorcycle from a residence in North Perth that they believe was involved in the collision and a 12-year-old boy is assisting police in their inquiries.
