“As your Mayor, I will continue to deliver positive, common sense results for our community and drive initiatives that support our unique community spirit and bring people together.

“I will continue to focus on cutting red tape for small business, driving economic activation in our main streets and town centres, and a greater focus on community safety and homelessness.”

Four councillors, two in the South ward and two in the North ward, are up for election, each for a four-year term.

There were only two candidates for North ward to fill the two vacant positions, including current councillor Dan Loden and Sally Smith.

Six candidates will contest for two positions in the South ward: Ashley Wallace, Susan Gontaszewski, David McDermont, Joshua O’Keefe, Peter Le and Adina Lieblich.

Postal voting closes on October 19.
