Chalking up walk to equality

A small group of locals spent the morning colouring tiles with chalk into the colours of the rainbow.

Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi was a late contributor to the effort as well.

Perth resident Neil Buckley said the crossing aimed to highlight gay rights in the lead-up to equal marriage being debated in Federal Parliament.

Ms Scaffidi said she supported equal marriage rights.
