Charter Hall dispels rumour Palace Cinemas to be replaced at Raine Square

Denise S. CahillEastern Reporter

RAINE Square developer Charter Hall has dispelled a rumour aired on breakfast radio this morning that Palace Cinemas would be replaced with a childcare centre.

A caller to 6PR’s breakfast show with Steve Mills and Basil Zempilas suggested during the ‘Rumour File’ segment that the 12-screen cinema complex would be scrapped from the development.

However, a Charter Hall spokeswoman told Community News this morning that work on the level two multiplex was well underway and the complex would be open late next year.
