City Greens Co offering healthy on the go options in Perth CBD

Lisa ThomasEastern Reporter

THE future of fast food has come to Perth and it does not involve a greasy burger.

City Greens Co opened its first store in the Perth CBD late last year, offering quick, healthy, fresh and organic salads for people on the go.

With a range of salads on the menu that are gluten-free and cater to vegan and paleo diets – as well as a create-your-own concept – there really is something for everyone at City Greens Co.

Head chef Scott Harpham said the whole concept was about offering something healthy and organic that people could get quickly.

“The point of difference was our organic approach to health and supporting the organic community,” he said.

“All menu items are organic where possible, as well as gluten-free with local produce.

“Our salads are made to order, not pre-made, and can be modified to suit all dietary requirements.”

The menu also has salads suited to pre- and post-workout, as well as a range of healthy pressed juices and kombucha.

Mr Harpham said the store was the first of many planned for the CBD.

“There has been a lot of positive feedback since we opened our doors and it’s growing every day,” he said.

“Right now we are focusing on educating the public about who we are and what we do and providing healthy lunch options to people on the go. This is our model store and the idea is to open them around the CBD.”
