The traditional turning on of the Christmas Lights marks the start of WA’s largest Christmas festival.

City of Perth Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi, who was joined by Santa and his North Pole crew to launch the event, said no other place in WA embraced the festive season quite like Perth.

‘The Festival of Christmas brings a friendly air of magic, cheer and fun into the city,’ she said.

‘It’s a time for giving and for enjoying the company of loved ones.
