City of Perth acting chief executive to stay in job while permanent replacement sought

CITY of Perth acting chief executive Martin Mileham will stay in the job for the foreseeable future while the City looks for a permanent replacement.

Mr Mileham has acted in the role since Gary Stevenson was dismissed in January.

At last Tuesday night’s council meeting, councillors voted to extend Mr Mileham’s tenure and appoint the members of the CEO performance review committee to a new CEO recruitment committee.

Lord Mayor Lisa Scaffidi, Deputy Lord Mayor James Limnios and Cr Janet Davidson will be tasked with choosing a new chief executive.

Mr Mileham will continue to act in the role until January 19 next year or until a newly appointed chief executive begins in the role.
