THOSE who have made a significant contribution to community life can now be nominated for the City of Perth Community Citizen of the Year Awards.
City of Perth chief executive Martin Mileham said the four categories recognised individuals or groups who demonstrated leadership and enhanced the community.
Former Police Commissioner Karl O’Callaghan, former Salvation Army Volunteer Shirley Mort and Festival Italia are past winners.
“These awards are an opportunity to celebrate people who are proud of Perth, who have a sense of responsibility to the community and who have brought about positive change as a result,” Mr Mileham said.
Eligible nominees must reside or work principally within the City of Perth.
Nominations close October 31.
