NOISY dog breeds and pooches that bark all day will not be welcome at a proposed dog daycare in West Perth in a bid to alleviate noise concerns.

Marian Gorman’s application to open Madame Ma’s Doggie Daycare at 581-583 Murray Street, West Perth was deferred by City of Perth commissioners in March to gather more information on how noise would be managed.

Ms Gorman returned to the council chambers for a briefing session on Tuesday after speaking with 12 dog daycare businesses across Australia.

She said only one of the 12 businesses had received a complaint about noise.

Closed windows, glazing and echo minimising wall treatments will be used to minimise noise from the business.

Ms Gorman also said they would be selective on dog breeds and would not take “dogs that bark all day”.

Commissioners will consider an administration recommendation to approve the application at a meeting next Tuesday.
